This is a gorgeous handwoven huipil from the Costa Chica of Oaxaca. The huipil is woven of hand spun cotton and the weave is a of traditional design. The brown a plant dye of Cahoba and the brocade is a silk. Huipiles from this region are difficult to come by and this is a fabulous example.

This was purchased from the artisan at asking price.
